Markets

Four countries, bound by relationships, language and trade

Denmark is where we are based and where we hold stakes in a number of privately owned companies. The three markets abroad are not a random collection. Portugal and Angola share a language and a legal heritage; Angolan families, companies and capital have long looked to Lisbon, and Portuguese expertise flows back to Luanda.

Dubai is the trading post for much of Africa and a second home for many Portuguese and Angolan entrepreneurs. Goods, services and finance increasingly route through the Emirates.

We invest at each corner of this triangle, in the businesses that move along its edges, and at home.

Where we are from

Copenhagen is home. It is where Jungle Splendor is headquartered, where every investment decision is taken and where the standards of governance that travel with us were formed.

Denmark is also a market in its own right. We hold stakes in Danish privately owned companies, often founder led businesses with strong positions in their niche, and we bring the same patient and practical partnership to them as to our holdings abroad.

Where it began

Portugal was Jungle Splendor's first market abroad and remains the largest part of the property portfolio. It is a Eurozone economy with deep tourism demand, a growing international population and a culture we share through our Angolan connection.

We own property in Portugal and hold stakes in Portuguese companies. It is a market we know well and continue to invest in.

Where our roots run deepest

One of Africa's largest economies, entering a new chapter of diversification and reform. Long standing relationships give us access to opportunities rarely visible to international investors, while our Danish governance standards give counterparties confidence.

We own property in Angola and invest in Angolan companies, working closely with partners on the ground.

The gateway between

Dubai sits at the centre of our geography. Many of our Angolan and Portuguese partners trade through the Emirates, and the city offers a liquid, transparent base for cross border activity with world class infrastructure.

We own property in Dubai and invest in companies based there, with the city serving as a natural meeting point for our partners from Europe and Africa.
